‘RHONJ’ RECAP: Margaret Josephs Accuses Jennifer Aydin of Being A ‘Drug Addict’
Welcome back to a brand-new episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. We begin with Margaret Josephs as Joe B helps her get dressed. Dolores is chatting with Paulie while Danielle Cabral helps her daughter Valentina work on her entrance for her upcoming birthday party.
The kids are practicing as Danielle tells us in her confessional that she doesn’t do basic parties and that over the top parties are what her kids will remember. After practicing, Danielle shows Valentina the bow she made for her and ask what guest she’d like to invite. Valentina wants to invite her boyfriend but as a five-year old, Danielle isn’t going for it.
After the kids leave, Danielle goes through the guess list with her husband; and before long Danielle tells her husband about the altercation between Jennifer Aydin and the other ladies. Danielle doesn’t want any drama at her daughter’s party and wants to make sure everything is planned correctly.
At the Jersey shore, Rachel Fuda is spending time with her family as she and the kids discuss an upcoming event. Rachel gives us a rundown of her time at the Jersey shore as her parents stop by to visit. In her confessional, Rachel tells us about her upbringing and how her mother is a traditional jewish mother, who meddles in everyone’s business LOL.
Rachel’s grandmother is also there and jokes with John Fuda about purchasing her coffin SMH. After discussing how tall her stepson is, John fires up the gril while Rachel’s brother Eric arrives.
The family sat around and shared old stories while the food comes out. Rachel tells her family that she’s thinking about having another baby and soon everyone has an opinion, including Rachel’s stepson. Rachel’s mother asks about Teresa Giudice’s party and Rachel gives the rundown of the drama between her and Jennifer.
Rachel hopes the next event will be better and we move onto Melissa Gorga teaching her daughter Antonia how to drive. Antonia’s doing well but Melissa’s nerves are getting the best of her. Antonia did get stuck at a turn but Melissa helped her out and proceeds to pick up coffee for them.Antonia continues practicing but Melissa wanted to take the time to talk about her issues with Teresa. Melissa wants the kids to remain close and Antonia explains the kids don’t get involved in the adults drama. Melissa’s happy to hear that but makes it clear that she never wants her kids to fight the way Joe and Teresa fight. Let’s hope for the best.
In New York City, Teresa and her daughter Melania are shopping for bridal gowns. Teresa has five weeks until her wedding and have to choose a dress asap. Gia arrives shortly after and the girls sit while Teresa tries on the first gown. A fashion designer meets Teresa to discuss her personalized veil and becomes emotional as she discusses her parents. Teresa talks about her upcoming wedding with the girls and Teresa reflects on Milania’s journey after Joe Giudice got deported.
Teresa gives Louie credit for being there for her daughters and soon the daughters begin discussing Joe and Melissa. Melania thinks Joe should be the one to walk Teresa down the aisle and Gia brings up the possibility of Joe skipping Teresa’s wedding. Melania says she’ll never talk to Joe again if he doesn’t show up. We’ll see.
Later, Melissa and Jennifer Aydin meet for lunch and after placing their orders; Jennifer reflects on how far her friendship with Melissa has grown. The pair cheers with martini’s and begin discussing the glass throwing in 2019. Jennifer admits she didn’t think Melissa wanted to have a baby and soon Jennifer reveals she’s been fighting with Bill Aydin. Jennifer feels like Bill’s the boss and if she doesn’t take care of the kids, then it’s her fault.
Jennifer Aydin brings up her conversation with Jennifer Fessler and lies about her intentions for calling Jennifer F. Jennifer thinks Margaret always finds a problem with someone and that Margaret has a pattern. Jennifer tells Melissa about Margaret’s ex-best friend’s (Laura) comment about Margaret wanting Melissa to be with a ball player. Melissa doesn’t confirm or deny and instead admits she heard the word from Margaret when she and Joe were going through issues in 2021. Jennifer wonders what type of friend would encourage their friend to break up with their husband. Melissa thinks Jennifer is reaching and that Margaret never did that. Jennifer tells Melissa to be careful and I think we’re beginning to see the plot thicken.
At Jennifer Fessler’s place, she’s checking out the chef’s in her kitchen as she tells us in her confessional that she’s not good at domestic duties. Jennifer F hopes the ladies can come over and actually have a good time as Margaret arrives first. Margaret tells Jennifer about her upcoming surgery, and we find out Margaret’s been using her broken wrist SMH.
A flashback shows Dr. David Porter telling Margaret how her bone has shifted and requires repair. Margaret just can’t catch a break. Margaret’s devastated because she doesn’t like going under the knife, but Margaret doesn’t have a point. While Margaret makes her first drink, Melissa shows up and is ready to party. Melissa compliments Jennifer’s home and begins looking at all the Southern Comfort food.
Melissa ask if Jennifer Aydin’s invited, and Jennifer F says absolutely but she doesn’t agree with Jennifer coming after Margaret. In her confessional, Jennifer Fessler admits to enjoying Jennifer Aydin’s company before she began bad mouthing Margaret. Melissa tells the girls about her lunch with Jennifer and how she warned Melissa to watch her back with Margaret.
Jennifer doesn’t like that Margaret “bullies” her and Margaret can’t help but laugh. Margaret admits she did say Melissa could be with a ball player, but only in reference to Jennifer Lopez when she dated A-Rod (Alex Rodriguez). Margaret tells Melissa and Jennifer F that if she were around when Bill cheated on Jennifer Aydin; she would’ve told her to leave him and take half of his money with her.
Margaret believes she’s a good friend and doesn’t know why Jennifer is trying to turn the other women against her. Rachel arrives to break up the tension and brings wine and sweets. Dolores arrives while the ladies set up the table in the backyard. The ladies greet Dolores and ask what the ladies are doing for the weekend. Rachel plans to take her daughter to Valentina’s birthday party and Rachel tells the ladies that Jennifer Aydin and Teresa are also invited.
Danielle’s at the door as Dolores admits she hasn’t spent a lot of time with Danielle. Margaret tells Dolores that Danielle’s nothing like her Instagram, as producers show us a snippet of Danielle’s outgoing personality. Margaret admits she was thrown off by Danielle’s IG but that the ladies should give her a chance.
Melissa feels like the reason Danielle and her brother don’t talk is because she’s so silly on the internet. Dolores thinks that’s silly as Danielle joins the ladies. After complimenting Danielle’s outfit, the ladies want to know more about Valentina’s party. Danielle tells the ladies about Valentina rehearsing and the ladies think it’s great as Jackie Goldschneider arrives. Danielle and Rachel are noticeably on guard as Jackie takes her seat next to Rachel. Margaret ask Danielle if her mother threw huge parties for her, and Danielle says no. Danielle admits she’s entirely different from her family and Melissa ask if Danielle’s talked to her brother yet. Danielle admits she hasn’t and hasn’t spoken to him for two years.
Rachel wants to know the backstory and Danielle tells the table how the issues started when she blocked her brother on social media because he was making fun of her. After Danielle blocked him, he got upset and kicked her out of his wedding. The ladies think the punishment doesn’t fit the crime, but Danielle can’t do anything about it. Rachel thinks Danielle’s story is sketchy and wonders how something so silly could rip a family apart. Danielle admits that it’s very painful and that she focuses on the good things in her life. Teresa shows up as Margaret digs deeper to why Danielle’s brother was making fun of her.
Margaret calls Danielle extra online and admits that all the ladies are extra. Teresa takes a seat as Melissa ask Dolores how she’s getting along with Jennifer Aydin. Dolores doesn’t know what to say anymore but does want peace. Rachel on the other hand, isn’t ready to forgive Jennifer yelling in her face as Jennifer finally arrives. Margaret thinks Jennifer’s dragging things on as Teresa jumps in to say Jennifer may need more time to move on. Margaret calls Jennifer an a**hole as the mood shifts once Jennifer joins them. Jennifer Fessler makes a toast thanking the ladies for coming and soon the food comes out. Jennifer F is being modest with her beautiful home and Jackie takes this time to make a dig at the way Jennifer Aydin brags about her home.
Jennifer Aydin gets a little offended and tells the group that she doesn’t brag but that she just explains things SMH. Margaret jumps in to say explaining and bragging are related and Jennifer fires back that she’s stating facts. Jackie tells Jennifer she’s playing and Jennifer voices that everyone’s perception is different, especially if they don’t like you. Margaret doesn’t think liking someone has anything to do with it and tells Jennifer to not be so self-centered.
Teresa tries to be the voice of reason but Margaret takes this time to confront Jennifer about bad mouthing her. Jennifer doesn’t think she’s turning Margaret’s friends against her, but Margaret spills the tea that she got from Melissa about their luncheon earlier.
Jennifer doesn’t back down and states that’s her opinion, but Margaret wants to know why Jennifer’s talking trash about her after they made up. Jennifer explains that she can talk about whatever she wants and soon the two are going back and forth arguing. Margaret tells Jennifer the only genuine relationship she has is with Teresa and Danielle jumps in to defend Jennifer. Danielle’s enjoying getting to know Jennifer and appreciates Jennifer calling Danielle to share her story. Jennifer F chimes in to point out that Jennifer was the only one bad mouthing Margaret and Jennifer points the blame back on Margaret.
Margaret activates and tells Jennifer not to say that and Jennifer’s not self-reflective. Jennifer and Margaret have different perspectives of what happened last year, and Margaret begins yelling that no one needs the history of her and Jennifer’s fallouts. Margaret yells at Jennifer “You think she’s gonna ever going to f***ing love you more than she loves me, you f***ing idiot?!” and chaos erupts. Margaret and Jennifer are yelling at each other as Jennifer explains she was trying to offer an olive branch to get to know Jennifer F better but Margaret isn’t hearing any of that. The rest of the ladies look on as the arguing continues and Rachel wonders how they got to this point.
Margaret tells Jennifer she doesn’t have any friends and Jennifer fires back that she has a family, which is something Margaret will never know what that’s like. Margaret hits Jennifer with a zinger by saying “Yea, well I’ll tell you what, you don’t know what I f***ing have, a f***ing good marriage you stupid b***!” Melissa doesn’t think that’s nice as she reflects on all the times Margaret and Jennifer have gone at it. Jennifer calls Margaret jealous and Margaret throws up the quotations as she says, “Jealous of what, your f***ing happy marriage?”. Jennifer tells Margaret that she encourages people to leave their husbands and Jennifer F has to stand up to shut this sh** down.
Jennifer Fessler warns the ladies about her neighbors but nothings stopping these two from going at it. Jennifer calls Margaret an old lady as Margaret tells Jennifer she needs help, and that Jennifer can’t manage her own home life. Margaret calls Jennifer a disheveled drug addict as Jennifer calls Margaret Driving Miss Daisy SMH. Jennifer Fessler walks away as Margaret and Jennifer continue going at it. Margaret calls Jennifer insecure as she tries to leave but Jennifer F stops her in her tracks. Dolores tries to calm Jennifer down but Jennifer ask Dolores why she isn’t yelling at Margaret. Jennifer F goes off and tells the ladies they’re embarrassing her and tells Margaret to sit her a** down.
Jennifer Fessler tells Jennifer Aydin to leave and Teresa leaves with her. Jennifer Fessler takes the other ladies inside as Teresa and Jennifer talk outside. Jennifer thinks Margaret’s a hater and Teresa wants Jennifer to focus on herself. Jennifer thinks she’s living the dream and tells Teresa she’ll call her later as Jennifer Fessler kick the rest of the ladies out. The next day is Valentina’s 5th Birthday party and both mommy and daughter are pretty in pink as they arrive. The decorations are definitely over the top and Danielle loves the way the party turned out. Valentina loves it as her guest begin and the party begins. Danielle has food, lights, dancing, and anything else a five year-old could want. Rachel arrives with her two-year old and soon Danielle and Rachel discuss Jennifer Fessler’s failed dinner.
Rachel was dying inside and Danielle’s in the middle because she likes both Margaret and Jennifer. Rachel’s upset with Jennifer for yelling in her face and not taking accountability for her actions. Danielle thinks Rachel and Jennifer could repair their friendship and soon Danielle goes back to hosting duties as more kids arrive. Jennifer Aydin brings her kids and Jennifer uses this time to chat with Rachel. Rachel ask where Bill is, and Jennifer replies that he’s working. Rachel ask Jennifer how she’s feeling and Jennifer tried to keep her composure but feels like her intentions get spun around, like with her conversation with Rachel on the phone.
Rachel didn’t appreciate Jennifer yelling in her face and Jennifer admits to reacting rather than responding. Jennifer continues blaming everyone else for her actions and Rachel just wants Jennifer and Dolores to work it out. Teresa and Louie arrive, and Valentina makes her grand entrance with her brother Dominic. The kids enjoy the party as Jennifer tells Louie that Margaret’s always coming for her. Teresa thinks Margaret was hitting below the belt and Jennifer thinks Margaret is smug. Jennifer didn’t like Margaret calling her a drug addict and Jennifer admits to smoking weed. Teresa though Margaret is all about women’s empowerment and Jennifer thinks Margaret is phony.
Rachel joins them to say goodbye, but Teresa reels her in with the drama at hand. Jennifer thinks she was defending herself and says Margaret started with her. Jennifer tells the ladies that Laura said that Melissa could do better than Joe and that Rachel and Danielle need to be careful trusting Margaret. Teresa admits she only apologized to Margaret because it’s better to keep her as a friend, than an enemy.
Jennifer calls Margaret a manipulator and Rachel sticks up for Margaret as Teresa tells Rachel to watch her surroundings. Goodness. Be sure to come back next week for a brand-new episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
