‘Married to Medicine’ RECAP: Anila Confronts the Ladies About Robbery Rumors!

Welcome back to a brand-new episode of Married to Medicine! We begin with Dr. Contessa Metcalfe looking for food as Dr. Jackie Walters talks to her office staff. Dr. Heavenly Kimes is working at the beauty supply store with Alaura as Quad Webb visits Anila Sajja’s home. Anila brings out wine and shows Quad all the security that’s been set up. Anila’s feeling the pressure of going back to normalcy after such a traumatic event, but Anila is feeling safer after all the changes. Quad spills the tea on how the ladies were feeling at Jackie’s BBQ and Anila feels like Contessa was interrogating her. Quad not only called Toya Bush-Harris, Dr. Simone Whitmore, and Contessa the “three stooges,” but was adamant in how disappointed she was in Simone.
Quad tells Anila that Simone was laughing and that everyone thought Anila staged her break-in. “F*** that,” Anila responds and is applauded by her so-called friends’ reactions. Anila claims she never would’ve put her business out there if the entire burglary was staged and Quad thinks Toya is shifting her narrative onto Anila. Quad says that the streets of Atlanta are talking about Toya sleeping around and Anila’s more upset that she hasn’t heard from Toya since the break-in. Anila understands she and Toya aren’t on the best of terms, but still expected empathy from her former friend. That evening at Jackie’s, she and Curtis Walters are mixing up some things in the kitchen as Jackie inspects the healthiness of the meal. Jackie’s not happy with all the pork but Curtis laughs and keeps the party going.
Cecil Whitmore and Simone stop by, and the couples are all smiles with their besties. Jackie complains to Simone about the groceries Curtis bought and asks for Simone’s assistance in making the charcuterie board. Simone takes a piece of meat and asks Cecil to teach her how to roll a blunt, LOL. Cecil doesn’t know why she’s asking him, and everyone starts laughing. After migrating to the living room, Jackie asks everyone’s opinion of her party and Simone thought it was a sh*t-show. Simone wonders how the conversation went left so quickly, and Jackie doesn’t know what happened.
Jackie feels that the group is divided and everyone’s fighting. Curtis acknowledges there haven’t been any physical fights in a long time and Jackie wonders how they can fix it. Curtis suggests going back to where the group first started, Blue Ridge. Simone and Jackie think that’s a great idea and reminisce about the great time they had. Looks like the group is heading back to Blue Ridge! Anila and Dr. Kiran Sajja are home eating with the kids and the mood seems a lot less stressed than usual. The kids are making welcome home signs for Ms. Gomez, and it looks like Anila’s favorite helper is coming back! The kids are excited, but Kiran thinks he’s the happiest because living with Anila’s parents was a nightmare. Kiran reminds Anila to check on the food, and of course, the pizzas were well done.
The kids meet Ms. Gomez at the door and everyone’s all smiles as they welcome her home. In their confessional, Anila and Kiran said whatever Ms. Gomez wanted she got, and it looks like Anila can finally get back to blogging. The next day is Contessa’s competition day! Contessa calls Dr. Scott Metcalfe to make sure everyone’s ready for the show. Contessa’s excited and feels like she’s sacrificed a lot to get to this point. Contessa meets her pose coach, and we see Contessa naked as she gets tan and prepped for her debut. Contessa’s always wanted to do a fitness competition and now it’s time to show us what she got! We see all the fuss backstage as Dr. Scott and the kids get seated in the front row. Her kids aren’t excited to see her, but Scott is ready to support his wife.
We see a few of the other ladies before it’s finally Contessa’s turn. Contessa looks amazing and everyone is super proud of her! Contessa ended up winning the whole thing! Contessa’s trainer congratulated her as Dr. Scott and the family loved on Contessa. The next day, Simone and Cecil are home packing as they talk about mending friendships. Quad’s packing as she FaceTimes Audra Curry to talk about Toya, SMH. Quad wants to know how Audra’s feeling since Toya “attacked her” and neither knows what the trip going to look like.
As Dr. Eugene Harris and Toya pack at home, Toya voices how she’d like Jackie to tell Audra that her actions won’t cut it in their group. Toya also wants to confront Anila for bringing the rumor to the group. Heavenly and Dr. Damon Kimes are getting ready, and Damon tells Heavenly not to talk so much and she won’t get in trouble. Anila chats with Kiran about feeling strange going on the trip and Kiran’s upset at the group’s accusation toward them. Kiran feels like they’ll be a reckoning on this trip, and I think he may be onto something. Cecil and Simone meet at Dr. Jackie’s the next morning and Jackie prays for the group before hitting the road. Toya makes sure Eugene locked all the doors due before heading out and it’s clear Anila’s break-in has affected everyone.
Eugene just feels like they woke up on the wrong side of the bed and Toya thinks they went to bed wrong since Eugene didn’t give up any peen. Eugene claims he was in the bed and the two laugh it off. Quad, Heavenly, Audra, and Dr. Martin Curry are riding together, and we find out the Currys just got back from their three-day wedding. I’m guessing Bravo didn’t feel like covering the event because all we got was a few clips, LOL. Simone tells the group that Contessa and Scott will be late, and Cecil wants to know if the ladies are going to address the elephant in the room. Simone lets it be known that it’s not okay to jump in people’s faces and Jackie agrees. Curtis comments on not throwing objects at people and we see a flashback of Heavenly throwing a drink on Kari Wells. Now, why didn’t we get to see that?!
Simone feels like if someone gets too aggressive, then it’s time for them to leave. Smart call, Simone. Jackie, Curtis, Simone, and Cecil arrive at the house first and it’s a beautiful house that they’ve selected! They take a look at the rooms, and for once, there isn’t a lot of fuss over who gets what room. Jackie and Simone are assigning the rooms and Simone wonders if Scott and Contessa will be too loud with their private business, SMH. Toya and Eugene arrive and give Jackie her props as Toya suggests locking the other couples out. Simone and Jackie attempt to show Toya to her room but Toya’s already throwing her attitude around for everyone to see. Simone warns Toya to play nice and brushes it off for now, but we know Simone’s going to lecture Toya on her behavior.
Toya loves the room and Jackie and Simone start by telling Toya that they want everyone to be positive because they feel that the group is in a dark place. Jackie and Simone agree that the group can’t make it like this for long and Toya seems to understand. Jackie wants to rebuild and restructure the group so that everyone walks away in a better place. Jackie and Simone also promise that there will be no destroying families. Toya brings up an assignment that her pastor wants her to do and it’s Toya’s job to find out how she hurt her friends. Toya understands in order to move forward, you have to hear your friends out. Jackie loves the direction the energy is going and soon the ladies are laughing about Simone having the biggest room.
The crew is in the kitchen as Simone asks Eugene what’s for dinner. Jackie wants something healthy but ain’t nobody got time for that. Cecil suggests helping in the kitchen as Heavenly, Audra, Martin, and Quad arrive. Everyone is all hugs and Cecil notices that the Currys are wearing Champion jumpsuits. Again, Audra misses the mark by doing too much, but hey, that’s what newbies do. Jackie shows everyone around and Heavenly opts to room with Quad since she’s not having sex. As everyone’s looking at the rooms, Heavenly brings up being in the bible belt, and Quad busts Heavenly out about being pregnant before she was married, SMH.
Eugene and Cecil are cooking in the kitchen as Toya wonders what the ruckus was. Cecil tells Toya who came and Toya is unbothered by the information. Heavenly comes upstairs to chat and to get a plate as Audra and Martin come upstairs, as well. Martin says hi to everyone and Eugene continues cooking as Toya ignores them, LOL. As Heavenly eats, she has small talk with Toya before apologizing to Toya about what happened at Jackie’s BBQ. Heavenly confides in Toya and tells her how often she cries and acknowledges her mother’s passing is no reason to act up. Toya understands Heavenly and gives her a pass for losing her mother. Toya even begins to cry because she genuinely feels compassion for Heavenly.
I’m glad we got past that! That night, Audra’s rubbing a fertility doll on her womb as she burns sage around the room. Audra then takes a pregnancy test and it’s positive! I guess Toya won’t be able to whoop Audra’s a** after all. Audra and Martin kiss as they celebrate their growing family; Toya suggests going to a nudist camp one day. Simone thought about it for a second before Eugene revealed that Toya’s naked all the time at home, LOL. Toya even has full conversations with her friends while she’s in the tub. Weird for Eugene but normal for us girls, LOL. Anila and Kiran arrive, and Toya and Eugene are noticeably irritated and don’t speak to them.
As Jackie shows Anila and Kiran their rooms, Eugene and Toya elect to continue cooking upstairs. Anila doesn’t like the room and is now paranoid that someone’s watching her. It’s hard for Anila to forget but they put unpacking on hold to go mingle with the rest of the group. Dinner is ready and Eugene and Cecil threw down for the ladies! Heavenly says grace and everyone starts getting down! As everyone’s eating, Anila makes a comment about how quiet it is, and Jackie brings up almost cooking lasagna but not wanting to offend Eugene. Audra asks Jackie if she ever wanted to learn to cook and Jackie claims to know but she doesn’t, LOL.
Heavenly asks Anila how she’s doing, and Anila says that she’s getting through it. Anila tells the ladies how she left for Savannah for two weeks and that her daughter’s having nightmares every night. Toya chimes in and says how sorry she is for Anila’s kids and family and Anila goes straight for the jugular and asks if anyone thinks it was a setup! Toya says “Girl, I don’t know what you’ll do.
