Chris Samuels Spotted With Monique Samuels’ Enemy Charisse Jackson-Jordan Amid Divorce Proceedings
Chris Samuels, the soon-to-be ex of Real Housewives of Potomac alum, Monique Samuels, was spotted out in public with Monique’s former pal and RHOP star, Charisse Jackson-Jordan.
Instagram account @dorindadeadly posted a photo that revealed the duo sitting together at an outdoor eatery. Take a look below and judge for yourself.
Monique Samuels and Charisse Jackson-Jordan shared a friendship until the latter became tied to a cheating rumor involving Monique Samuels and her trainer. Monique, who was originally introduced to the ladies by Charisse, started Season 5 amid upset with Charisse and Candiace Dillard Bassett for spreading the affair rumor.
A feud developed between Monique and co-star, Candiace Dillard, after Candiace invited Charisse, who was not on the show at the time, to a filmed event.
Monique went on to label Charisse as the person pushing out the cheating rumor.
Monique told People during an October 2020 interview that she was disappointed when Candiace invited Charisse to her filmed anniversary party, as she believed that her intention was to add fuel to the damaging rumor.
“She’s trying to get on camera. She’s trying to come on with whatever lies and use me as a storyline to get back on the show. How is that Candiace is my friend and I didn’t even know that she’d invite Jackson Jordan around cameras when you know what she’s trying to do behind the scenes? I couldn’t recover from that,” Monique said, at the time.
The alleged affair drama led to an explosive brawl between Monique and Candiace and later to Monique’s exit from RHOP.
Last month, news broke that Monique had filed for divorce from Chris Samuels, after a ten year marriage. The former Bravo star filed her petition in April and amended her complaint in June. The couple’s rocky marriage landed in the spotlight on the first season of “Love & Marriage: DC,” which aired early last year. She later told fans, via a YouTube video, that their marital woes were the result of “a lot of confusion [and] crazy building up to that 10-year marker of our marriage.”
“When you’ve been married that long and when you have things that you’re like, ‘Listen, this is being unmet or I’ve been unheard’ you start to get frustrated and it’s like, ‘Oh, my God, is this what life is going to be? I can’t take it anymore,’” she continued. “So what y’all saw on Love & Marriage: DC last season, it was my cry for help.”
She said at the time that they were both seeing therapists and were “absolutely not” parting ways.
Earlier this month, Monique took to Instagram Live to explain how she knew it was time to call it quits on her marriage.
“I was in therapy and my counselor asked me, ‘What is it that you want? If you could have the ideal marriage, if you could have everything you want from a marriage, what is it that you want?’ And she told me to write those things down,” the mom of three explained, in part.
The 39-year-old shared that she spent “two weeks writing down all of the pros, all of the cons, and really, really thinking about it.”
Monique clarified that her decision “wasn’t just all on him,” noting her own “issues and trauma.”
